This piece was commissioned by Mitchell Allaman and premiered at the University of Arizona Composer’s Concert on April 1st 2026. This piece originally came as an idea of sketches after listening to different pieces involving a lack of time signatures, key centers, and features the use of gesture in addition to notes on the page. This piece is primarily about the three main states of matter, Solid, Liquid, and Gas in that order. This score has a strong lack of time signature to give the performer more of a sense of freedom within the piece to explore their own personalities within the mostly open ended score.
